Library Reopening FAQ
Visitors are now welcome to browse collections on the first and second floors of the Library.
Library staff are available to answer basic reference and account questions. Computers continue to be available for 30 minute sessions. Quick Picks, Grab and Go Bags, and @HOME Activity kits remain conveniently located in the lobby.
Play areas, study rooms, and meeting rooms remain closed during this phase.
What to Expect
- Visitors must wear masks covering their nose and mouth and maintain 6 feet of distance from staff and other visitors.
- Visitors are asked to refrain from eating or drinking in the Library at this time.
- Visitors should limit their time in the building so others can use the facility safely.
Library users in need of special accommodations may call (515) 239-5646 ext. 2 for assistance.
The Library staff and Board of Trustees will continue to monitor the situation and collaborate with City officials and health experts to adapt Library services as needed.
Items can be returned to the drive-up book drop in the alley (preferred) or the walk-up book drop near the entrance. Oversize items, puppets, etc. can be returned to the drop box next to the Welcome Desk inside the Library's lobby.
